I started to receive quite a few error messages this morning for about 3 or 4 different users. Below is the error message.

Unable to open mail database for user ********** (The server is not responding. The server may be down or you may be experiencing network problems. Contact your system administrator if this problem persists. 0x0807) Not sure what is causing this. Its not happening to everyone but just a select few...

Could this be side effect of these people upgrading to the new lotus notes on their PC?

I haven't received any in the last 2 hours but i was just wondering what caused them...

Did change the mail template for the users ? Have you startet any maintenance jobs
afterward (compact, updall)?

Yes it did change the template. No I haven't started any maintaince jobs...

Looks like your BES lost contact from your mail server temporarily. No biggie.
