Does BB save sent emails? And if so, how do you go about viewing them? I can't find an option in the view folders list

By default, you should be able to VIEW FOLDER and see SENT ITEMS.
Can you see the SENT folder?
Also, what is your setting in INBOX / OPTIONS / GENERAL OPTIONS / HIDE SENT MESSAGES... ?

i don't see a sent folder, only MMS Outbox, and SMS Outbox (as far as sent type messages go)

i changed "hide sent" to no, and now i see them but they are all mixed in with my incoming emails. can i not have them hidden, but still able to view them when i want, like with SMS?

From in the messages folder, press the menu key> view folder > Sent items.

Unfortunately, Jsconyers suggestion is the appropriate way. I am surprised there is no easier feature to make the bb look more like outlook.

Alt-O is even easier.

How so? Permanently placing a folder hierarchy on the screen would eat up the already precious screen space that there is. Most BIS users don't have a folder structure anyway so it's really moot.
