The file is intended for Orange France customers. The rest of us have to deal with the way RIM and Orange France decide to lay out their page.

An RIM requires those long forms for every download.

I agree that a page in English would be helpful. I'm also nearly positive that there is no way to provide a direct link to the files hosted on RIM's servers.

Just launch an English site and compare the fields...the format is Identical in all these RIM download forms. Just be greatful that someone posted the link!
