I just tested video on mine and it seems to be working as expected. I know that with earlier versions of 4.5 some people had camera issues while others didn't.

I dunno if its just coincidence or not, but I seem to be falling back to GPRS a lot now. I used to boot up and be on EDGE just about everywhere, now it's showing GPRS more often than EDGE. This is all over the DFW area, not just in my house.

I realize that there is probably some damage to the network with the hurricane that came though over the weekend but we have had thunderstorms up here that were 10 times worse than the little bit of wind and rain we got from Ike. Houston is also far enough away that I wouldnt think that I would be dropping back to GPRS from EDGE all the time because of network outages.

It doesn't matter. American carriers (to my knowledge) have not released any GSM versions of 4.5.

Just follow the instructions at the top of this post and you'll be fine.

So I just use the Great Britain for example and it all works fine? I just want to make sure before I screw up the OS for my phone and render it useless.

Works great..I upgraded from 4.3 and I notice a great difference in speed. 4.5 is just a faster OS. Its great. I like the small additions to the Media Player that were made. I listen to music alot on it.
It also seems like the battery life has gotten a bit better. I dont know..Could be just me but Im definitely getting a full day out of it with heavy usage and the recharge is pretty quick too.

You removed Voice Activated Dialing. That also removes the About screen. You can get the same info by pressing alt + e a c e.

My issues with EDGE seems to have gone away, so it pretty much confirms it was the network.

I still see the (_@) when it says I have a new voice mail, this started after the .37 version I got from Vodafone.

I have also noticed that the GPS on the 8110 seems to be less "powerful" than the one in my 8800. I can be deep inside many buildings and have it register my exact location almost immediately, however the 8110 almost requires me to be outside or be on the top floor of wherever I am. Many times even in the car it takes forever to sync, even when standing still.

I think its specific to this very release. I am getting TONS of issues with .69 that I did not have with .37 or .55

All of the issues I experienced with earlier versions of 4.5 have been fixed by this release and so far I haven't noticed any new problems.

When I click the link in the first post, it ask to select location. USA is not listed, so do I just select any one of those?

Select the United Kingdom option for the English OS.
