Default Media card error

Please Login to Remove!

So Im freaking out! I just got done adding some tunes to my phone when it finished i unplugged the phone and went to scan the media.

WHen i opened media I got a message saying:
A media card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer.

Besides checking the media card with a checker tool what can I do to fix this?
What could have caused this to happen?

Could be a 4.2 formatted card in a 4.5 device?

I would reformat the card in 4.5 and reload your music.

Well I bought the card once I upgraded to 4.5. But yeah I will try formatting the card.

Its weird because when I plug it into the pc everything is there, but when I try to view my data on the device theres nothing there.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8310)

I forgot to mention I was doing all this under linux. I booted up windows and it did an auto disk check at startup and it seemed to have fixed it. I didn't have to format and I still have everything in my media card.

Thanx for your help/suggestions

not sure if this is offered on Linux, but there is an option to "remove device safely" from your computer when you want to disconnect it. on the taskbar below, there is an icon with a *green arrow* once you're finished with transfering your information, i believe you either double click or right click and choose remove device safely

Yeah linux has the dismount option.

Lol, Linux is the way to go IMO. Sucks there isn't much support for my precious Blackberry :/
