BBSmart Shortcuts is the same type of application, but allows shortcuts for calls, email, and SMS messages. It's only $1 more.

Good to know, but that really doesn't answer his question.....

I was wondering the same - I installed the app - its real nice - very quick now to text someone! RIM should have implemented something like this!

BBSmart Shortcuts is a good app if that's what you're needing. However, it's not quite the same as QuickText. Those who have used both will understand the difference. The focus of QuickText is in firing-off text messages quickly. It's especially efficient for those who use the keypad to launch apps. (ie. Dial From Home Screen = No)

Hey Stinsonddog. I'm the developer of QuickText. Did you have a question for me? You can post it here or email me at quicktext at cannonsoft dot com. I'm a one man show, so you'll get me and only me.

So of course this is much better for full qwerty devices.

Give me a break - 7.50. The cost a 1 1/2 subway foot longs. For the amount of time it saves. Just go buy it.

last month i sent 120sms. if i spent 1000sms then it might be a different story.

lets say it saves me 2 seconds every sms. so last month it saved me 4mins. in my situation. hardly a god send. worth $7.50? lemme try it for 14days

so fair enough if it saves u a heap of time.

down here, btw, i wont even get 1ft long sub

i notice when i use qsms it picks the mobile number too; it always highlight the mobile number first. 7.50 is not a lot of money. but free is better when it does basically the same thing. kind of reminds me of bbsmart and empower going at it. so the maker of qsms should say something. where are you? can you see that a software almost the same as yours is selling for 7.50 and your not getting nothing for yours? just kidding. thank you to whoever made qsms. i text alot. and really appreciate a good free product.

Have nobody seen the free version of this app...it's called QSMS...it's on the forums and it does the same thing except it doesn't bring up it's own list, it links to your address book

Default Multiple recipients

I like the sound of this application.

My kids have moved from Nokia, Samsung etc and as massive texters couldn't believe how difficult it is to send a text. Big thumbs down to BB from the text generation.

Does anyone know of a similar application where you can select multiple recipients from a single screen ?

I think 4.6 has enhancements here but I have not yet seen them. I just asked the author for a status update. I use this all the time.

I downloaded the trial and then purchased the software soon after. This is much better than QSMS. (Contrary to another post, QSMS is not a free version of this app. They are different.) Two keys and I'm in the compose SMS screen with a phone number populating the "to" field. It doesn't get better than that.

I can't believe people complaining about someone actually charging a nominal amount for this software. If you don't want to pay for it, don't buy it. IMHO, it's worth it.

I plan to recommend it to others at my office.

Default Apply this to applications

Love this application for shooting off th quick text, but it would be awesome if you could also assign letters to open an application, as there are lots of third pary apps without dedicated BB shortcut launch keys that I would like to have two letter strokes away
