so i was talking on the phone with my friend and then the call dropped, when i looked at the phone it had a white screen with an hourglass. so i pulled the battery for about 45 secs, and when i put it back in the same screen came back up. i did another battery pull, to no avail. then out of nowhere it just boot up itself to the at&t logo.

does anybody no why this happened?

may have just been a software glitch... if it happens again, then i would do more research on it...

My 8120 did that yesterday, dropped call, then white screen with hourglass, battery pulled also, then rebooted by itself. Fine ever since, that was the only time.

It's supposed to do that when you pull the battery. The spinning hourglass is the phone rebooting itself.

Did it twice last night, after my call is dropped, just goes to hour glass and sits there for a while waited to see if it came back but nothing. Once I pull the battery then it reboots and verifies software,etc, then finally I can make a call again...very annoying.
