Has anyone seen 4.5.0.52 release 75 for the 8820 (I'm not asking for it or a link, just want to know if anyone's seen it). I hear it fixes the problem with rsa securid and I really need that for work.

UMA calls work flawlessly too!!! Only (small) issue for me is that I get no voicemail indicator, but I use YouMail so I get a text message for every voicemail received anyway.

Read the forum rules, we can't post links to beta software. Also, I used .46 on my 8820 and it was terrible. I went back to .42. It's the most stable one I've used so far.

Well.. I have a definite problem with 4.5.0.46. If I am in the browser and Sametime 8.0 gets a new message, it locks the phone up tight. Battery reset. Never had this problem with 4.2.2 or 4.5.0.37

I'm kinda glad I dumped my 8820 for the 8310. It seems much easier to find newer official or beta releases for the Curve.

4.5 is officially available from Rogers, Vodafone Netherlands via BlackBerry.com. I'm running the Rogers (8820M_PBr4.5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37_Rogers) . MediaCard is enabled and no crashes after 1 week of heavy video play back & application installs. I've rebooted it multiple times with no issues.

After you remove or edit Vendor.xml. Backup "files only" from Media Card. Set Media Card Support to "Off". Do not use the DM GUI to load the OS. Use the procedure at the link below. After OS is loaded, format the MediaCard and enjoy 4.5 on your 8820.

I don't think anyone has answered your question yet. At least that's what I get when I read through the other posts. So...

I think it should detect it. I have no problem with it detecting the rest of my family's devices (they all have the 8320 with 4.2). Try another cable/port. Also did you pull the battery? Can you check in Device Manager and see if the computer recognizes it?

Is 8820 so buggy/problematic?

Does anyone have any idea when an official 4.5 will be available?

Thanks a lot
DOes your phone have a sim card and is the sim card in the phone? You may have to remove the sim card and let it complete the process before putting the sim card in. I had the same problem but once removing the sim card The OS Installation worked. Unfortunately I am unable to connect to AT&T with 4.5 I will continue to work with it until I find the solution though.
