Ok, so I am knew to this forum and the reason I joined is because I already need help with my 8830. I am a Staff Seargent (SSG) in the US Army. I have been in for 10 years. I bought the 8830 World Edition for the ability to swap networks while I travel. I know this is an introduction forum but if someone can tell me where I can find some help about programs that will allow me to text for free while I am out travelling. The international rates for texting are a killer. $0.50 a message adds really really quickly. So I really need some help getting this solved. I appreciate any help on this.

Welcome to the forums! It's nice to see a fellow military member. I'm Air Force, but my older brother is in the Army... he's a drill instructor at Fort Lindenwood. If you don't mind my asking, where are you stationed?

I'm Air Force as well. Good to see the military represented on the forums.
