I just plugged in my pearl to upload some pics from it with the media manager and for some reason it completely wiped clean my text message archive and my calls archive, is there any reason this would happen?? Is there any way to get it back? Does any one know why or how that happened???

Were you moving pictures from your computer to the phone or vice versa? My guess is that if you were moving pictures over to the phone then you are out of memory. Check the file free by going to Options >Status and post the number next to "file free."

No, I was putting the pics from my phone onto my laptop. And moving a ring tone I made from the computer to the phone. Then when I checked a text I noticed allll of them were missing and the only one showing was the new one.

File free - 0 bytes

You are completely out of memory. That's why your text messages are gone. They are gone for good...sorry to say.

Pull the battery and then follow the instructions here so this doesn't happen again:

Ohhhh Maaan. I'm sad now. I had a lot of text messages I wanted to keep.. Oh well what can ya do now... Thanks for moving it for me, I didn't know If I should start my own thread or just post in one that was on semi- ontopic. Sorry about that. But thanks for the help, I going to do that stuff now and take care of it so it wont happen again. I appreciate the quick reply.

If you don't have one, get a microSD memory card for storing your pictures/ringtones on. It will help tremendously.
