Yeah you'd miss service in 4.0 :) Some carriers are having trouble with 4.0 - nextel i know is one of them. T-mobile works, im using 4.0 now and things are fine.

Yup, that did the trick. I just uninstalled 4.0 and installed 3.6 and redid my encryption key (i also deleted my 2 service books for web clients before i did encryption keys) and that did the trick....
