Default Curve trackball issues

Please Login to Remove!

I am in the second week of my ownership of the Curve and really like it, but the trackball seems to be very loose and is skipping around when I use it. I tried playing with the sensitivity, but no real improvement. Also, the keyboard seems loose when typing an email. My buddy's 8800 seems rock solid compared to my Curve, and I seem to like his keyboard better. Any thoughts? Do I have a bad unit or should I switch to the 8800 as it might suite my hands better. The only problem I have with switching is that I really like having a spellchecker and the call quality on my Curve is better than any other BB that I have ever used and I don't want to go backwards in that regard. The camera is nice to have, but I could live without it. PLEASE help!

If you are still within 30 days take it back to the store and ask for a new one. There seems to be wide variances in the build quality on the Curves.

Exactly what he said. Exchange it for another unit if you are still within your 30 day trial. Feel around until you are satisfied.

My first curve had a few build issues as well, got a replacement from ATT a week later and it's flawless.
