Default HS850 Availability

Please Login to Remove!

Have done a bunch of searching and would like to buy an HS850 Motorola Bluetooth headset. I used to have a Jabra way back when I had one of the first Motorola Bluetooth phones, but didn't like the earplug. I bought the first Motorola Bluetooth headset, which was comfortable, but had lousy battery life. Looks like the HS850 is rated pretty well in that department.

Since I see lots of folks on this forum and others using this product, I went to order and the vendor I usually use has a pre-order only. I shot them an email and he replied that Moto hasn't formally released the product in the US yet. Any that I would see are selling "grey market" devices. I went up on Motorola's site and they don't have it listed in their US website.

Can anyone give me some insight here.

Search for it on "froogle" or "pricegrabber" and you can find it in the USA. Not sure how they are getting them to the USA, but I have gotten two so far. Great device.

Thanks Scotth. I had seen vendors out on PriceGrabber, but they weren't any that I had dealt with in the past. They all had tons of reviews against them though and were consistently positive.

I grabbed one. Ordered the device, which came with a charger...vendor claimed that some only shipped the adaptor. The unit shiped same day.

Looking forward to trying it out. As with all Bluetooth headsets, there are wildly estatic reviews and the I had to return it the same day ones, but this unit seemed to be more on the positive side.

I am looking forward to seeing how Bluetooth has evolved since the last time I tried it with a headset.

I purchased one a few weeks ago on e-bay. It works great! I got a couple of weeks of (moderate) use out of 1 battery. YMMV....
