Just like the 9800 didn't run OS 7.1 and the 9810 won't run BB 10.

What nonsense? Want Siri, get the latest iPhone. Want Ice Cream Sandwich, get the latest Android.

This isn't new. It is how carriers sell hardware. You can always stay on the current hardware, you just won't get the updated features.

You make a great point here. We are piloting Mobile Fusion now. It works fine for our needs, but will it be around in a year? I am running my playbook now on EAS. Why wouldn't any MDM just write an app for the BB10 devices? What's the true need for BDS?

My company (Myself) is now using MobileIron as an MDM solution for Iphones and Android devices, if MobileIron releases a client for the BB10 OS I will not use Fusion at all. And as our users upgrade their old BB's my BES will eventually be turned off. Why would I want to manage two sytems???

All I can say as a loyal business user for the past 7 years (family of 4 incl), what I have read here makes me sad...very very sad. If as you guys say, the the new BB's will be no different from any other device out there, wont support or have BES capability & lose their vaunted encryption/security...

I think I'll go back to Carrier pigeons.
At least they are loyal.

now where the hell is my Motorola Star Tac..??

Stk

I don't get why people would still want to get a WP8 phone when there are much better alternatives.

I intend to get BES10 to manage my BB devices which is still the majority at my US based company.

We dont allow android, its not secure enough, too many types of devices and too much malware. iphones are supported but many have been asking about android since ios is boring now. BB10 is looking real good. I cant wait to have one in my hands.
