Default Hacked text messages

Please Login to Remove!

Before all of ya'll tell me that text messages can be hacked. Your wrong... My ex hasnt been in my facinity in over 2 weeks. About a week ago my BB 8900 starting acting very weird. Wouldnt send email, MMS or SMS, I did the whole battery thing, erased some old texts, pictures, etc., thinking I needed to clear some memory. So heres my problem. My ex has been nowhere around for over a 2 weeks and lives 35 miles from me as well. In the past week she knows every person and what conversations I have had over my BB using text messaging. SHe admitted hacking into my yahoo email account thats attached to the BB, but there was nothing in their except a blank inbox ,no old messages, spam, sent messages, etc... Noone is in my address book, nothing. All my communication to my friends and family are done over text. And she knows EVERYTIME I communicate with them. She mentioned something like 6 months ago, about how she had found a software that you could purchase and download to a computer and it would interupt messages and numbers from a particular phone you were seeking. I dont know how true that is, but I have looked and their are these softwares or at least they are advertised on the internet. So IF anyone can tell me what I need to do or how to stop this I would greatly appreciate it. Changing my number is not an option, but if it needs to be done so be it. But what stops here from doing it to my next phone. Cause she'll find a way to get my number through friends and associates. Thanks again.

Change your passwords on everything. (Email, Facebook, etc)

Also might want to look into a restraining order, but that's just me.

Wipe the device with Jl_cmdr. Reload the OS. Do not restore from a backup. If you have contacts and calendar info, sync with Outlook or Google to get them back.

Well I just got off the phone with the Tmobiles Techinal Operations Coordinator and have just been informed that THEIR is software that hacks into the BlackBerry phones. The highly use program is called CellSnoops. And it can record, every text, conversation, and and numbers dialed. I knew mine had been hacked for sometime. I was given information to purchase or download a ANTI-SPYWARE to my BlackBerry 8900. So all of you out their that didnt believe it was possible to hack a BB, well it is. Once I get it downloaded after I do my complete restore of my OS I will let you guys know the details.

Yea, rather then purchasing the anti-spyware (which is probably made by the same company that makes CellSnoops), just follow the post above for using JL_Cmder to wipe the OS off your phone.

JL_Cmder removes ALL software, so would get rid of any hacking software that has been loaded.

Relax.

What he says is true, any application, not just CellSnoops, requires permission to install the application.

Did you have your BlackBerry password protected? If so, did you ex know your BB password? If not, password protect it when you get this mess cleaned up to prevent this issue from happening again.

I would never have a mobile device without a password. PERIOD!

Wow. Relax. While it's not impossible for someone to snoop, I also agree that it's probably not 'highly used'.

Don't be a schmuck. You got hacked because you let your BlackBerry get hacked. Michelle told you wanted to hear. Got you off the phone, right?

Reformat and return your BlackBerry and go back to a Sidekick and don't let anyone use it.

We all know about Cellsnoops. They used to hang out here, selling software to remove the software that you have to knowingly installed. So you got hacked. Stand in the corner with a dunce cap.

No one can do anything to your BlackBerry unless you let them. No matter what Michelle at some call center told you.

And, learn the difference between "there", "their" and "they're".
Only true douche baguettes use it constantly incorrectly as you have done.

It's not "hacked" when you install spyware or allow somebody else to install spyware. Instead of "hacked", try the phrase "was stupid".

Simply follow the instructions in Post # 4 and use a good password -- everything will be fine. But yes, the software was installed on your phone -- you just didn't know when she had it in her possession.

I can understand this is new to you and not your area of expertise, but many of us know BlackBerries pretty extensively.

It has been recommended, to wipe your device with JL_CMDer and reload the software on your phone. Set a password on your phone as well.

Maybe you could call Tmobile back and they will swap the phone out for you with another BlackBerry.

(And this is going to be a application installed on your BlackBerry, if a computer can link to a Cell phone and get information from it I promise I would revert back to the days of pagers and smoke signals)
