RIM stock surges on upbeat analyst forecasts

(Reuters) - Shares of Research In Motion (RIM.TO) (RIMM.O) leaped almost 6 percent on Monday after an analyst raised earnings estimates on the BlackBerry maker and another said that competition fears were overblown.

RIM should post a "meaningful beat and raise" in its fourth-quarter results on March 31, BMO Capital Markets analyst Tim Long said, with sales strong in all regions led by the company's BlackBerry Bold and Curve smartphones.
