I recently tried to install an app on one of our BlackBerrys, without any luck. I then found that the app was not compatible with the BlackBerry (9700).

But now I keep getting this warning in the app log.

Event ID: 20000

Source: BlackBerry Policy Service

PollForMissingApps: GetHHCodePackages reported: HHCM_DEVICE_NOT_SUPPORTED. Upgrade your copy of device.xml

Is there any way to stop the BES from trying to install the app?

You can reapply a 'clean' software configuration to that device.

Not to sure if this is what you ment but updating the device.xml and vendor.xml files seems to have sorted the problem.
