Default Send Message Failure from BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I am trying to send a Message from BES to activated device. For this, i am selecting a user and on right click doing Send message. Is it called PIN Message on BES? Or these are different messages?.

So, i am trying to send a message from BES, and i am getting the following error in DISP log.

[30123] (07/09 08:01:59.467):{0x11E8} Received APB to send to relay. PIN:FFFFFFFF, SUBJECT:Test message
[30222] (07/09 08:01:59.467):{0x1794} {User} MTH: contentType=CMIME, sizeOTA=86, sizeOTW=82, TransactionId=0, Tag=716
[30341] (07/09 08:01:59.467):{0x1794} {User} Sending APB message to device, contentType=CMIME, routing=S49553970, device=FFFFFFFF, size=123, cmd=0x3, TransactionId=0, Tag=716, Submit=1
[30370] (07/09 08:01:59.546):{0x1220} {User} Packet returned as ILLEGAL - could not be delivered to device, Tag=716

I am using BES for MDS ver 4.1.3.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and appreciate your response,
Hemant

Does the BES show the correct PIN for that device that is associated with that user?

Is that device working properly otherwise? Receiving/Sending emails normally? Synching calendar entries?

Is this a new device/user? If so are you positive they have enterprise service on their plan?

Yes, BES plan is activated on users HH.
Also, as this is the BES for MDS server, it is not use for email send/receive.
I read somewhere that, as RIM added encryption/decryption in Send Message communication, we will not be able to Send Messsage from BES with version prior to 4.1.4.
I am using 4.1.3 version.
Is it the reason, because of which it is failing?
Any idea?

Thanks,
Hemant
