This is often referred to as fishing.

I suppose we are supposed to all tell the OP how amazing he is for having 3 Bolds, and at no point ask what the he11 would I want 3 Bolds for.

Why, in heaven's name, why? Can you give me a reasonably logical situation where you would?

I could see 2, 1 for personal, 1 if your a software developer for Blackberry applications and don't want to crash your personal system in testing.

Just a guess.

Default Two, I could see

A friend is a senior adviser to a prominent politician. He had two BlackBerrys - one for government business, paid by the taxpayers; and one for political business, paid by the party.

My sincere question still stands - what is the reasoning behind the question and what is the OP trying to achieve? I can understand that some folks may carry more than one mobile device or even more than one BB. If it serves a legit purpose then so be it but it's not like your experience is enhanced by the quantity of phones (nay Bolds) you carry? It's not the airline industry where you could potentially use an aircraft in the hangar to cannibalize parts?

Does he mean have or own?

At work I have the potential to carry a couple or even more pagers for areas and shifts I have to cover. Our departmental budget doesn't allow for BB's though. I can see having a department handful of Bolds and someone having responsibilities and 2-3 phones with different numbers.

Otherwise it probably is OCD or something...
