Angry gmail 2.0.5 and jivetalk 1.1.0 issue

Please Login to Remove!

Today I upgraded to Gmail version 2.0.5. Once i upgraded i noticed that Jive talk cant connect using TCP nor Wi-FI ( i dont have data plan). The battery pull didnt help, so I uninstalled jive talk and re-installed again and I did auto network configuration. TCP-HTTP connection failed. I removed gmail, but jive talk still wont connect.

Has anyone else came across this issue and been able to solve it? I

Almost sounds like something is up with the JT server.

Mine works fine after I changed it to BES. Prior to that the messages were really really slow to send. Kinda like how long it takes JC to answer a post here.

Sure ban me tonight when I am eating at Epic Roasthouse with the Clown on the bike while you are painting your house. Geez, you missed a big one in SF.

Mine has been on and off for a while now. I only use Gtalk so I switched to the Gtalk app. I do like Jive Talk but it has been slow to send, very slow to connect after a reboot and problems with the messages getting to thier destination.

What's new in the 2.0.5 GMail, anything to report? I use the 'for domains' version, it's still at 1.5.1 right now.

Thanks! You said the magic words for me. I just installed it and it's fantastic, a great upgrade -- besides the above combination and multiple accounts (yay!) it has the ability to Archive, use Drafts, much better label support as well as much faster startup. The scrolling in long messages is really nice now too, the UI is cleaner.

Replying/forwarding still doesn't include the text of the quoted email in the editing window, though. :( I really wish they'd add that feature. But all in all, a great upgrade well worth the 2 minutes to download.

Anyone still having JiveTalk problems?

Messages have been slow to send over the last week for me, and tonight I'm unable to connect at all...just keeps timing out after 5-10 minutes. My other 3rd party net-reliant programs connect fine, I can access webpages and such via the browser, etc...it's just JiveTalk.

A day after my initial post the problem was solved. have you tried doing a battery pull? If that doesn't work, try ti uninstall - reinstall jivetalk.

All the IM apps go down from time to time. I keep BeeJive and IM+ both on my BB and use whichever works that day.
