Curve 8310, is there any way to have 2 address books?
And is there any way to password protect the address books?

I work in law enforcement and would prefer that my family members be in a seperate book with a password in case the BB should be taken off me.

Thanks, great forum.

I have an 8330 Curve (Verizon) you can setup CATEGORIES for as many as you like. Though you must go into each name and edit and choose the category. You can then use FILTER and select which one you want to view or you can view ALL.

Go to into your PHONEBOOK, click on the Blackberry BUTTON (to the left of the trackball) and you should see at the top part FILTER and a 3 down NEW GROUP. From there you can setup up everything!

Hope this helps

Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile 8120)

And you can just password protect the phone itself by going to Options > Security Options > General Settings

But this is just for turning the phone on and off right?

I need something that would protect those private numbers if someone were to get hold of the phone and it is still turned on.

Thanks

You can set the security timeout from a range of options, from 1 min to 1 hour. It will automatically lock after this amount of inactivity, and if someone were to get a hold of it, after 10 (or lower if you change that option) wrong attempts it would wipe all information off the BB.
