sync deletes memos on computer

When my boss enters memos into her blackberry and then sync with the comptuer it deletes memos on tishe computer but leaves them intact on the blackberry. Is there anyway to keep the sync from doing this?
Also is there anyway to write new memos into the blackberry from the computer and then upload them.
Forgive me for the vaugeness of this post, I'm more than a little new to these things.
