That is odd with the AIM client not visible as I am using my own theme and also have the RIM AIM client. You might check the hidden icons or it could be a random bug...

For those of you unable to find maps, check your downloads folder, that's where mine was.
I'm also getting an error when I try to run it. I think if you have a version > .167 it won't run. I have .185.
There are a few people on the first page of this thread that have .190 loaded and it worked for them. At least, they haven't posted to say they were having issues with it since they uploaded. Perhaps just an issue with .185?

This may sound stupid, but AT&T is an american thing... being in the uk, if i change to the at&t software (www *dot* blackberry *dot* com/Downloads/entry.do?code=577BCC914F9E55D5E4E4F82F9F00E7D4) will it f**k my phone up?
I did update my phone just using the blackberry site before which unlocked the mobile browser as well as the hotspot browser but no maps, even with maps selected and changing the theme to the one posted in this thread.... but it didnt mention anything about at&t like the link i have posted there...
Hey guys, I hate to keep going with this and I'm a noob but I still don't see it in the applications folder when I have my 9000 sync'd to my PC. I have version 167 on the BB, I have desktop software 4.6, and I downloaded 167 from the AT&T link. I'm on a different theme too. Still no luck. What am I doing wrong here? I miss BB Maps!
Is it showing up in the applications list under Advanced Options after you download it with the app loader in DM? If it is, is the service book for BlackBerry Maps listed (Under Advanced Options also)?

So Ive followed all the steps and have the BBmaps icon on my screen I can open the program just fine, but it wont find the satellites for gps service. All the settings for the device gps are "on" or "active" but while using BBmaps when I ask it to "find my location" it just sits on "searching for satellites". Ive got full 3G service where Im sitting but I am inside. should that matter? Is this a common problem? Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
^^Cosigned. Mine didn't get a lock until I walked near my front door. Being downstairs in a half sunken basement wasn't really jelling with the GPS so well...

I must be slow as well. I have updated to 4.7 for the desktop software, have .167 for my blackberry software, but when I go to the blackberry site to download blackberry maps it tells me I don't have a supported device. How do I actually get the app on my desktop to load it on my device?
Download the actual OS software to your PC (.167 or higher), install it, go into Desktop Manager, App Loader, Add/Remove Applications, check the box that says BlackBerry Maps, upload to the device.
