BB sync replicating and geneating duplicate records after the pc was restored using norton due to some video instability issues.

I had synced my BB with the pc even 5 minutes before i did the restore and there were no errors or anything. Everytime i restore my system this problem starts. Especially with calender items which start getting replicated and generating duplicates. I have to manually search and delete all the cloned records. So this time when i tryed syncing and the alert came up that this record was changed on one platform and deleted on the other. I just gave stop and am posting here as this will create havoc if i continue.

Also id like a permanant solution. Next time im going to do a system restore whcih file should i back up so that my device and pc sync exactly as they did just before the restore.

Have you resent your service books an/or reregistered on the Host Routing Table (which resends the service books).

What does that mean ? Registering a host routing table ? WOE is it with RIM. They expect us to be coders to use a blackberry ?

Hi,

When i got into host routing table. It shows no entries within. I did the menu > register now thing, and it says "registration message sent".

But no entries have appeared within the screen. Is that it ? Thats all ?

No im on no such plan or on a BES. Im just using this as a normal phone/PDA in my country as i dont need email checking etc. I just sync with outlook express and mainly need it to do just that properly if it can.

I somehow solved the problem by going into the advanced sync options and deleted all the calender records on my phone and then did a sync with calender set to OUTLOOK overwrites DEVICE. It worked.
