My calendar appointments get deleted on th handheld after 2 months, and i want to extend this.

The user guide says to open the calendar, goto options / 'keep appointments' field and change the number to a higher one but it just aint there !

for calendar options i have :

initial view
enable quick entry
default reminder
snooze
start of day
end of day
first day of week
confirm delete
show free time in agenda view
show end time in agenda view
show tasks
number of entries

and thats it ??????????

Open the Calendar, then Menu > Options > General Options. It should say Keep Appointments towards the bottom.

I've encountered this issue two times... both on the 8300. (which may be unrelated to the issue, I have no idea.)

The first time, we resolved it by resending Service Books from BES to the device.

The second time, when Service Books didn't resolve the issue, we ended up upgrading the handheld OS on the device. For some reason or another, that was the only way to get the 'Keep Appointments' option back to this particular handheld.
Even a wipe/reactivation didn't bring it back. It wanted a new OS.

just checked on my 8310 with 4.5.0.81/108 and it was right there under general options

just installed v4.5.0.55 to the phone and its solved the problem. Better yet, its improved loads of other areas of the interface, added a video camera functions etc et etc
