Whenever I send an email from the BB I get an email in my gmail inbox saying this. I don't have confirm delivery or read checked and I also have hide sent messages checked, but I still get a copy of the email I just sent in my bb inbox. Annoying!

You're getting this only from contacts(recipients) who also have BlackBerrys, right?

Well, they have to make sure they're not sending read receipts... Not sure if this works but I have tried this workaround before... you can always test.

Not sure about that but I only get those from contacts with BBs. It can be annoying but I have 'em filtered out from getting to my HH.

Every time I receive an e-mail on my BB it sends a read receipt even though I have this disabled. Doesn't matter where e-mail is coming from and I'm sure these are NOT from a BB.

Any suggestions?

Same thing happens to me, I only get the email on my home computers ... Doesn't bother me that much.

I created a filter in my g-mail web account. The filter looks for the words "Delivered:" in it. If it finds it, it deletes it.

By default the Confirm Read Option is turned on. Turn it off:

Inbox->Message Options->Email Settings-> (Select the account)-> Turn off "confirm read"

I have that problem also. I don't think its a "gmail" or any other on-line email account problem. I think its the blackberry. I turned off the "confirm read" and still get the email. I don't get a confirm sent in my gmail inbox. it only shows up on the blackberry. this is irritating and would like to find out how to turn it off also.

There are 2 easy fixes...

No need to filter the messages out. The popular reason for a filter is with GMAIL. It considers your email a new message, so filter out messages from you.

In regards to delivered: It was coming up on all my web emails. Anything sent from my blackberry would show up in my inbox when I logged in on a regular computer.

I have both a corporate account and a bunch of web accounts. When you go in to your messages and from the menu select OPTIONS. Then select EMAIL SETTINGS.

When people do this they don't see the "Confirm delivery" because their corporate account usually shows up, or DESKTOP. But what you can do is highlight MESSAGE SERVICES and you'll see all of your accounts. You have to go in to each account and turn off the confirm delivery.

I always had a hard time because I wouldn't see the confirm delivery. So I thought it wasn't working. Then I realized fancy berry can have settings for each email account!

..hey PDA, thanks for that fix..the option to opt out from those annoying(do they serve a purpose?..lol) "Your message has been delivered" emails was "hidden" in the EMAIL SERVICES area..
