Update from OP:

So, after confronting Cory with an email from RIM stating that the device has been reported stolen and it will NEVER be reactivated again, Cory stopped communicating with me. I have given all of this information to PayPal and my Credit Card company, as well as Cory's address and personal information. I have also given his information to RIM. All parties said they will look into criminal prosecution against Cory S. for receipt and distribution of stolen property. I have also received emails from other forum members that he has screwed over, so I am no longer hesitating with any actions of shutting him down and doing what ever I can to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

I am very sorry to hear this... As an update I never received a case # from Cory reference this... He said he would PM me with it when he got home several days ago, and still nothing...

Yikes... I'd like to make a motion to close this thread given the potential for civil action as expressed by the OP. I'm also not a fan of seeing someone's integrity bashed to the extent his has been, in such a public way. I don't necessarily disagree with the assessment but this pile of dirty laundry is beginning to attract flies....

i am sorry to hear all this, i was a victim in the process of the other transaction for an unlocked 8820, i am really glad my issue was resolved less than a month.

People seem to be way to quick to want to close threads. You do business in an open community like this you must be prepared to deal the community.

As long as only facts are stated then there is no bashing. My suggestion is that if you are not involved in this don't post in this thread and don't try to get yourself involved.
