I disagree. I have found the Torch touch screen keyboard just fine. I didn't find it too far off from the iPhone4.

I have the exact same issue; the preview shows that one letter was pressed but the letter to the right is actually typed. I don’t see how it’s a hardware issue since it happens in both orientations and I was able to duplicate with the display phone and another new in box phone at the AT&T store.

I think it depends on where you press the letter. For me it’s about 75% accurate but my wife was able to type an entire paragraph without an issue. It wasn’t until I told her to hit the keys a little to the right of center that she experienced the problem. If more peope say they don't have this issue I may try going back to the store in a few days and trying a couple of different new ones.

Please update your profile to reflect the proper device using the model number not the name. It really helps if/when you have a problem.

I thought I had the same problem. I had my son and daughter test it for me. They are both on Iphones. They both were able to type accurately. I found out they type with the tips of the their fingers whereas I was not typing with my fingertips.

I can duplicate the problem with a very light touch with just my finger tip on the far right side of the keys (this is how I’ve tested all of the phones so far). The main reason I think it's a software problem is that the key that I meant to press is the one that shows but not the one that is actually typed in the message. If they at least matched up I could easily adjust my typing and correct mistakes as I see them but since they don't match up it's a pain to go back through the whole message.
