Email Problems

Today I got an email from blackberry telling me that I needed to reset the email password of the email I have set up to my pearl because I was not getting any of my emails. They gave me two choices
1. Go to email setup on my blackberry enter my username and my password and change my password. I entered my username and password (which is my email and the password I have set up for that email) and it said to verify my information and try again. I did several times.
2. Go to blackberry internet service on the blackberry website. I did that too and it didn't work
Any Suggestions!
