Default how can I tell if DB notification system has been updated

Please Login to Remove!

my BES configuration database is running on a BES 5.0.3 server. I plan to replace the server due to warranty. So I built a new server and installed BES 5.0.4 on it while tageting the DB on the server 5.0.3. At the end the installation prompted a message asking to upgrade db notification system manaully after install. But according some KB articles it says following:

If you upgrade the BlackBerry Configuration Database on the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the
BlackBerry database notification system upgrades automatically.
If you upgrade the BlackBerry Configuration Database on a database server that you installed on a computer that is not the
computer that hosts the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you can upgrade the BlackBerry database notification system
manually after you complete the BlackBerry Enterprise Server installation process.

I did upgrade the DB on the server where it has BES 5.0.3 while installing BES 5.0.4 on another server. Does that mean it fits the 1st condition? Or it refers to the in-place BES upgrade on the DB server? Or there is a way to verify if the database notification system has been upgrade?

Thanks.

David
