I read that it all depends how you charge it for the first time.
I can't remember where I read this but I always FULLY charge it after taking it out. Then I DO NOT charge it until it drops to around 10%.
After this, you can charge whenever you want.

Some considerations:
Are you in a 3G fringe area? If the device is constantly searching for a 3G signal, it consumes more power.
Do you surf the web? That uses more power.
Do you have apps running int he back ground, especially data intensive apps? They take a lot of power, make sure you close them down and not just exit out.
Do you use the phone? That takes A LOT of power.

OP, Dimming the Back Light below 50% helps.
I set the Right Convenience to quickly turn Bluetooth ON/OFF, this also uses up power so I enable it only when I get in my Coupe.
