Its no longer a rumor, 5.0 has been released for the tour (9630) from Verizon as of today folks.

Hi
i have jus downloaded OS 5.0 on my phone n i not happy with the sms options..... it now shows me as chat option n i also cant use shortcuts "F" for fwd........ can any 1 plz tell me how do i change this settings plz......

I just installed OS 5.0 (from a Nathanix hybrid) on my Verizon 8330 and it works fine. Actually, many operations feel snappier than with the original 4.5, and 5.0 brings a number of welcome additions in various apps setups and configurations, particularly the email setup app.

I also like the look of it a lot.

It also appears to use more memory, so don't go crazy with the 3rd party apps and themes.

No it does not have the ability. But you can put an Micro SD card in there.

About a month ago I finally upgraded my Tour 9630 to OS 5 and haven't been happier! So even if you're on a carrier that doesn't make it available, I'd recommend it anyway.
@ochack - maybe you need to reinstall it? Best of luck!
