Default Outlook Sent messages showing up in BB Inbox

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've pulled the battery, and even tried to move them but the device seems to think they are in the Sent folder because it wont let me move them.
  • On a BES
  • Phone software version 4.7.1.61
  • Save copy of Sent mail to Sent folder checked
  • Filters: None
  • Reconciliation: On
  • Delete: On Mailbox and Handheld
  • Conflicts: Mailbox wins

Thanks,

Nerfman

These sent messages are showing up like new received messages?

Have you talked to your BES Admin?

John,

They are showing up in my Inbox as read items. (BTW: In-N-Out rocks! I need to get back to California)

I have talked to my BES Admin and they don't know what it is. Ghost in the machine type of thing. Also, I don't want to wipe the handset because I can never get all the settings right again, including Autotext, even after I do a backup with Desktop Manager.

You sure you don't have a BCC setup in Outlook or a rule somewhere that is forwarding a copy? Are the actual sent messages syncing with your device?

Strange...all my settings come back just fine after a wipe, restore and EA.

I am on BES. My Company uses Lotus Notes.

All of my sent messages (meaning even when sent from the Desktop) have always shown on the Desktop. Never thought to question it because I like it. The sent messages have a checkmark next to them instead of an envelope. There is an option to Hide Sent messages under General Options for Message Options.

Note: Just looked at folder options. If I view folder sent, it shows only the sent messages. If I view folder inbox, it shows only incoming. Messages must combine the two.

Yes, Messages combines EVERYTHING.

I was assuming his sent messages were coming to the device as a "received" message with an envelope icon and not a "sent" message with a checkmark. If the messages in question have a check mark next to them then TXLady is correct and this is a feature of the BES to sync the sent messages to the device.

Within the Messages app, go to Options, General Options. Change Hide Sent Messages to Yes. They will still be on the device, but not visible (i.e., you can toggle the setting as necessary).

Yeah you need to turn on the "Hide Sent Messages" option. I also turn on "Hide Filed Messages." Those changes make the default message view look most like the standard Inbox.
