Ok.. well I'm working on it. Unfortunately I'm not a BB coding expert and don't have an 8100 or 8800 to test with... the simulator is giving me different results than what you all are seeing.

If you happen to know (or know somone) about BB development please see my post on the developers forum.

One last question, are you using BES?

Am I the only person with an 8700, or is it just working for everyone with an 8700 ?

Btw - Lets go Mets!

I think its an OS issue. 4.2.1 is probably throwing the errors.

So, does that mean you can get it figured out?

There is a new version on the site, I was able to reproduce the Array error (the one that showed 3>=3) and then fix it with the simulator. I never saw the error with regards to the URL parameter (that may be a different issues).

If someone who had the array (3 >=3) error before could download the app again and let me know if it works I'd appreciate it, once I have that issue solved I'll move on to any other issues.

I get it to work on my pearl, BUT, the times for the games are wrong. I went to the wap.mlb.com on my computer, and the game time are off by 1 row.

Do you have the Yankees or Devil Rays in your list, they got PPD and that may cause a bug to show up in that portion of the code.

Did the watch game feature work now for any of the games that are in progress?

Ok, now this I don't believe is a 4.2 vs 4.1 OS issue but rather BES versus BIS. Something with BIS makes it cause problems for people. Two suggestions to start:

1) After you get that error, if you click your track ball / wheel you should see the menu, if you chose options and set the use device side settings to true and restart MLB Tracker does that help?

See http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...t=APN+Settings for more info setting up your device.

2) If you check invalid url parameters blackberry - Google Search you will see other apps that have similiar issues and the steps that users have to go through to get them working. Perhaps one of those will help.

Yeah, it was the yankees, and they were rained out.

Really no options? On the simulator I see the options screen... I did find a bug that when you change the option and hit the back button you get an error (but the next time you start it the change has taken effect). I'll get a fix out for that error shortly.

Anyone else try to hit the options screen with no luck?

Another way we can figure out what is up is to try this testing tool I built:

http://www.apsquared.net/BBHTTPTester.jad

Load it on your BB, first try to just launch URL with the basic google.com address, on BIS that probably won't work (just curious what the error you get is though).

Next rerun the app and click Append device side, then click launch url (you need to first set the APN settings on your phone via the TCP options). Does this work? (If you see an error about a 302 code that is fine, that means it worked).

Last but not least you can manually add the APN settings for your phone, I've included them for TMobile but you should be able to add Cingulars manually.

Let me know if any of those work, if so I can adjust MLB Tracker accordingly.

I downloaded the latest version (0.78), set the device side settings to true and verified that the tcp setting is correct, but still no joy. Still getting the invalid url message on my Pearl (with BIS). Incidentally, if I proceed anyway and add a team I get the error "java.lang.RuntimeException: blocking operation not permitted on event dispatch thread"

Sorry, this is real difficult to debug b/c there is no way (at least that I know of) to simualte a BIS connection. If you could download the HTTP Tester:

http://www.apsquared.net/BBHTTPTester.jad

if you can play with adding the WAP Gateway settings to the url on the line (as mentioned in Disclaimer ), if we find a setting that works for your phone then I can update the MLB Tracker to work.

Thanks!

I tried the BBHTTPTester with the following results:
1) straight out of the box with the google address I get the "invalid url parameter" message
2) selecting "Append device side" I get "java.lang.RuntimeException: blocking operation not permitted on event dispatch thread"
3) selecting "Append device side" and the T-mobile WAP settings (I'm on Tmo) I get the 302 error

Hope this helps!

Wirelessly posted (9900: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Mine is working with .78 on an 8800/BES. Note though that SF doesn't show up on the games list but its in the menu and I can watch the game. LAD and OAK show up fine.
