Default "Application Error - please report to support personnel if problem persists"

Hi all,

Anyone encountered this before? Out of a sudden all BlackBerry Managers (remote access using Terminal Service and desktop BlackBerry Managers) all cannot load server lists and keep getting this error:

"Application Error - please report to support personnel if problem persists"

Can anyone advise? Thanks in advance...

Have you checked the database is working correctly?. Also what version of BES are you running?

And the Bdevices are still working?
I once had a problem connecting to the database, so couldn't even open the BlackBerry manager, and that resulted in having to recreate the BESadmin account.
Almost sounds like you need to reinstall the software.
What service pack are you on? Maybe try to reapply it?

it was SQL server connection errors.

We also had this one..

On our helpdesk we work with specialists. Each specialist has additional rights on his field of expertise. The BB helpdesk specialist had been given rights on the BB SQL db in the past.
Later on, all helpdesk people were given rights to the db.
They got these rights by adding the group in the sql db.
The specialist had higher rights on this db than the rest of the helpdesk.
Because he was added twice (via the group and via his specific user account) and with different acceslevels, he got this error when trying to logon.

So for me it was related to confilcting acces rights on the SQL DB.

Hope this is clear and helps

I had the same problem. I was indivually given rights to the DB and was in a BB admin group. Thanks alot, the error message was driving me nuts.

Huge bump!

I've now got this problem too. As far as I know, nothing has changed (this was working fine yesterday) but I'm waiting for my SQL admins to arrive.

My Blackberry devices are all working perfectly, so I'm in no real hurry to start rebooting my BES!
