Default VZW replacement curve

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting a replacement curve from VZW on Thursday. The reason the batt door latch is loose and they say they don't fix it they are going to give me a new one. My question is I have 4.5.0.131 OS on my bb. Should I install the VZW 4.5 on it before I send it back or don't even worry about it?

Default Don't worry about it

They will do a complete wipe to it. They have to protect their clients data in case one forgets to wipe.

Just for my own peace of mind I would at the very least delete all my info off of it, enable content protection and then perform a security wipe.

they told me that before I send it back I should do a wipe. to get all my personal info off it, and that it will be like a BB that just came out of the box. I was just wondering about the OS what they would say if they saw that it wasnt a VZW OS on it

The OS version will remain after a wipe, it's your preference whether or not to roll back to the VZW official release... I would but that is me.

There is an FAQ article on rolling back to an older OS, I would check that out. After the rell back you can then wipe the device and you should be fine.
