Default How does a BES Account affect an Exchange account?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

In our office we use Goldmine BCM, and have 7 Blackberry users and 7 non-Blackberry users.

All non-BES can get their e-mails through Goldmine OK, all BES users seem to have HTML striped out.

Removing BES user fixes problem (but obviously no BB e-mail) and adding again strips out HTML.

What is going on?!?!!?

Does BES make some sort of change to the users Exchange account?

BTW I'm using Exchange 5.5, BES 3.6.1.11, Desktop Man 3.6.2.9.

Hopefully someone here can help.

BES puts some hidden folders in the user's Exchange Mailbox to store data (i.e. stats, encryption key). Not sure if that would be casuing the problem.

just to be clear after adding a user to the bes server all html msgs sent to them apear as plain text? Dont think its the BES since all it does is monitor the new event in the store for the mailbox and sends a copy to the device. The copy sent to the device is converted to plain text, replies to the msg thread from the device will always appears as plain text since the bes server does not support rtf/html msgs.

K.Abbott:

You can use a freeware product called outlook spy to view the hidden information stored in a BB users mailbox.

i am fairly certain that there is nothing in the BES hidden properties.
unless some new tag was added.
