Default BES 5.0 MR2 - Installation procedures

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings everyone. Getting ready to install Three new BES Server today. Noticed that MR2 is now available, and downloaded it. Question, is this the full product, or I have to install the 5.0 Server, then MR1 and then MR2, or just MR2?

Thanks for your help

It's not a full install.
You need to install BES 5.0, then SP1, then MR2.

yea, don't forget to install the service pack. Might as well if you're doing a new server install.

Sorry, just want to be sure I have this right....The order should go

BES 5.0.0
BES 5.0.0 SP1
BES 5.0.1 MR1
BES 5.0.1 MR2

Is that right?

It'll work, but you're adding an extra step.

Do:
BES 5.0
SP1
MR2

Having just done an upgrade from 4.1.7, I can tell you it's even simpler! I think!

BES 5.0.1 (the full SP1 installer)
BES 5.0.1 MR2

I assume this is like the other updates, stop all services, install then reboot?

When I try to install the MR2 I keep getting the error "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify the source exists and that you can acess it."
I stopped all the services, and have the path to the instalation. What is it looking for?
I am running BES 5.0.1 MR1 Bundle 82

I tried that. I actually just gace up on MR2 and went straight to SP2 with no issues. I wish I had an answer or solution to my other problem for future admins with this issue, but my suggestion is SP2..... It fixed my application push issue too.

I think I have seen that error before when the .exe I was running was blocked. Check the properties of the .exe and down towards the bottom may be an unblock button.
