Default BB 9900 vs. HTC One S

Please Login to Remove!

Hello!

I was hoping for any input regarding the following phone choices. I have been a BB user for the past 10 years or so. I think it's the best thing going. Call it tunnel vision. I have the opportunity to use a BB 9900 or HTC One S for work. I currently use a 9780.

I have a few questions regarding the Android OS. Will email delivery be as prompt as the BB? That's what I love about BB....instaneous emails!

Also, I understand with some phones, the vibration notification is not as strong. Is that generally the case? One thing about the BB's is that the vibration and the LED notification was bright. It can be in your pocket, bag, desk...and you know you just got VM, call, SMS, etc.

If I do go over the Android OS, 4.0 ICS to be exact, is there an app so that emails will be pushed "real time"?

Thanks for your feedback.

Well, to be superficial and bluntly honest...the web surfing on those 4.3 inch screens are amazing. One of my biggest peeeeves was when fantasy football season rolled around, I had a damn ass time setting up my line up on a BB. Even a 9900.

I understand that a Android device is strictly entertainment and it does a pretty good job at what I use it for, entertainment wise...but it just can't handle the emails well or how I'm use to it.

And the Android platform is subject to malware and virus attacks.. So far, knock on wood, the BB has been.

Just check your priorities. If web browsing is your main thing, and T-Mobile is the carrier you want to use, then the One S is one of the best devices out.

Yeah, I certainly miss the ease and familiarity of the BB emails. I do miss the strength of the vibrate.

I am trying out the HTC One S right now. It's been about a week and the web surfing experience has just been astonishing. Coming from a BB, I do wish RIM would just make a something similar. Wishful thinking, I guess.

I have a 9900 that I'll be testing for 2 weeks or so. I'll get a better idea of w
