Default Tethering to Laptop

Please Login to Remove!

Would there be any reason why my Verizon cannot be paired with my Laptop via bluetooth?

I can scan from my laptop. The BlackBerry prompts for a passcode. Laptop connects BlackBerry drops.

Is this something Verizon has limited?

It works for me. I first paired the phone with computer then ran the wizard in VZaccess to configure for bluetooth. I seem to recal having to go into the settings either on blackberry or profile for the bluetooth device to enable DUN.

Correct - I did have to put my BB into Discover mode - As I said above I can see it and connect to it but then it says it failed

I just paired mine for the first time tonight (I will be traveling in a week or so to where I will have no internet access) and it didn't take too long, but I did have one issue. Every time I tried to connect, it brought up an error code 700-something saying there was a problem with my device or something (can't remember exactly, sorry).

I had to change the modem type from "standard modem" (like the instructions in here say to use) to the "standard modem over bluetooth link" (this is what blackberry.com's instructions said to use) and it works great now.

I am on T-mobile and use Vista if that helps...
