I love it. None of them are even reading the posts or taking any advice.

Sounds like it's a MetroPCS issue, not a BlackBerry issue. Maybe a tower went out of service. Verizon gets a signal but MetroPCS does not? Not a big surprise there! Metro devices are known for failing to switch to roaming, and even when their phones do, Metro doesn't have that many roaming agreements.

No, Metro is not a real provider. They are for kids, just like Boost Mobile.

You get what you pay for, maybe more so with mobile phones than anywhere else. Pay for cut-rate plans and get cut-rate service.

If the service was really such a bargain, everybody would have MetroPCS service. But it's a compromise - pay less/get less.

Since MetroPCS now offers BlackBerry, you can sign up for a BlackBerry data plan through them and all BlackBerry services such as e-mail will work.

I have a storm and would like to move to metro pcs I know it has to be flashed in order for it to work. Do you know how its done? And i will get a BB plan with them, will my BBM work as well as my other instant messengers, web mms and text?

It probably won't work correctly because MetroPCS doesn't have the service books for the Storm, but you can try.

I strongly recommend against switching from Verizon. As we've said, you get what you pay for.

I just got a new bb 8530, and I wanted to take it to metro to get my old number service switched to the bb. The guy at metro told me his store does not do flashing (this is a sprint bb) and even if they did then messaging and internet won't work. Is this true or should I find someone who will flash it?? Even the guy told me it might be for people to buy metro bb's...

All flashing must be done with professional software, not a program you can just download and run on your pc at home. You have to find someone to do it, pay them, and hope it works. Good luck.

I have my Sprint Blackberry Pearl 8130 working with Metro.
Metro will have a new blackberry Curve coming out sometime this month, "supposedly" and a $10 plan for internet plan extra.
I hope this is true and i can add it for $10 extra.
But the myth of not been able to have a blackberry on metro is a complete lie, metro will not do it at the moment because if you decide to do an OS Update it will reset the phone and it will kill the flashing, so you will have to return to the store to get it done again and so on.
I wanted to flash a blackberry Storm but is too expensive with out a contract and i went to Verizon in person to test the phone and is way too slow, i hope updates will fix that problem.
Ok. I have heard of this flashing process BUT how do you get it done? Where and What does it cost??? only $10?? I would do it! But I'm just wondering because when I called the 800 number for Metro, they said it's illegal and you can't get a phone flashed. Please respond asap. Thanks!

The Tour 9630 is a "world phone". That means it's primarily a CDMA device but has a slot for a GSM SIM card so you can roam overseas where CDMA does not work.
