Well, I have Tmobile but an 8310 unlocked with 4.5, the "official" rogers release, and no streaming for me to be had. On both Youtube and Zoovision I click on "play" and the media player comes up and.....nothing. No error messages, just a blank media player screen. Any help? And yes I did search for my answer here and on other sites.

I have an AT&T 8310 on 4.5 and am not able to access m.youtube.com with BB browser. The message says "HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error". Trying Opera, I do get to Youtube's Web Site, but videos won't play. The thumbnails are there, but clicking on them does nothing.

I have an 8330. I can get to the site. But when it comes to clicking "Play Video" it goes nowhere. I've read this post an I am a little confused with all the models #'s and which works and which doesn't. Shit it work, or not work on my new Curve 8330 with verizon?

My Bold on AT&T works like a charm. In fact, on a recent trip I used my Blackberry to fix a woman's iPhone, and YouTube was the key! She was all upset that AT&T had cut her service off, or so she believed. I asked if I could look at her iPhone and I immediately noticed that she was not getting any signal. I told her that no, her service wasn't necessarily cut off, it was that her phone was not making contact with any cellular service. No signal. I advised her to pop the SIM card out and re-insert it, but she had no clue how to do that. I whipped out my Blackberry Bold, went to YouTube and searched for "iphone sim remove" and opened the first video that came up in the search. It showed a guy using a smallish paperclip to pop the SIM card out, and after watching the video on my Bold twice, she felt confident enough to try it herself. Popped it out, slid it back in, and in a couple of seconds her email came flooding back in.

Boom! Blackberry (and a paperclip) fix an iPhone.

The 8330 with OS 4.3 works fine, but it sounds like you are going to the regular YouTube site. It only works on BB with the m.youtube.com site.

I am going to m.youtube.com for sure. Still doesn't work

Try deleting your browser cache and history, then try m.youtube.com again. If still no luck, do a battery pull.

I have an 8310 with the latest OS and it plays fine. Not the greatest video on EDGE but it works

I just recently purchased a blackberry 8310 at&t is my carrier. Since I just bought the darn thing (like last week), I should have the most current OS right? I'm still unable to open youtube vids and certain webpages that support flash. Under options & browser configurations, what boxes should be "checked" or "unchecked"?

There is no guarantee that a new Blackberry will come with an up-to-date OS. No telling how long it was boxed and sitting on the shelf at AT&T. Hold down both Alt + Shift and press H. That should bring up an information screen. Look at App Version and you should see something like 4.5.0.108 (292). When we talk about the latest OS, that's what we mean. It's the last three digits before the parenthesis. There's a sticky at the top of the 8300 forum lists all the most recent OS's for the different models. Generally, I don't update unless my Blackberry is acting odd/unstable or there is a new feature I simply must have.

On the browser on my Blackberry Bold I have everything checked.

For some reason it works in the blackberry 'browser' just not in opera mini.

I'm having an issue today on my 8130 running )S 4.5.0.77. I saw the announcement Saturday about Telus unblocking youtube.. so I tried it then and it worked fine. I went to show my daughter yesterday, and now can't get any video to play, even the same one I got to work yesterday. I get the "The media being played is of an unsupported format"

I tried the battery pull, and that did not help, I disabled audio boost (although it worked fine with it enabled on Saturday), cleared the browser cache.. nothing helps.
Any suggestions?

Just a quick follow up to my last post... I realized there had been one change on the BB between youtube working and not working. I installed BeamReader. I just uninstalled BeamReader, Did a battery pull, and cleared my browser cache (just covering all bases) and low and behold it works again... It appears the issue was a conflict with BeamReader.

Ok new status update.. I just performed an OS upgrade to 4.5.0.89 on my 8130, and I ca no longer view youtube video's I am now getting the "The media being played is of an unsupported format" error again. I'ved pulled the battery, cleared the cache enabled and disabled the audio boost... any one else have problems with you tube after upgrading?

Update: I left the handheld charging over night and tried again when I got to the office.. worked fine.
I am thinking this was a network connectivity issue where a poor connection causes packet drops to the point that the streaming media is unplayable.. just speculation...

I have a blackberry curve 8320, I have been reading and reading in this forum about how to get youtube to work on a bb. I have the 4.5.0.81 OS from tmobil. I calld tmobil and they said that I dont have a service plan, I think I have a 3rd party service plan becuz I can go on line from my bb and do a search ebay, autotrader, even view this forum from my bb. when I go to youtube and vtap. my media player pops up and it says loading (a video i have seleted) about 20-40 second passes by and I get a message saying "error playing" "content not available. server is blocked or unresponsive".

I have turned off my audio boost.
I have clear my browser cache
I have delete my cookies.

is there anything else I should turn off or on?

please help and thank you for your response
