How much application memory can be safely regained by deleting files
Please Login to Remove!
Hello Forum,
I've searched the various forums but have not found the answer yet. My question is, "How much application memory can you really gain by deleting various unnecessary files/modules/etc on a BB Bold?"
Currently after doing all the suggestions I found, my application memory is around 30MB. Is this a high enough number ??
Thank you for your responses.

30 is high enough.
I have 50, but I've removed such apps as BB messenger, BB maps, all unneeded languages, as well as memopad, tasks, brickbreaker and word mole and help.
as i dont use these options at all.

Huhm, using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, you can see the your application memory size and the available memory. If you get full, just delete some unused apps, as I'm sure we don't like browsing in a very long list of apps :D

Good tips. I would also recommend deleting any outdated e-mail, SMS, MMS and BBM messages.

no, they are not stored to memory card and if you have for example 300 they will eat up memory. 10 will eat up memory also, but not as much obviously.
use Desktop manager. go to add/remove programs and uncheck help.

Well I was gonna try remove all that stuff and see what kind of gains i could get. Desktop Manager is a little messed up for me, telling me theres a new update then tells me it wants to actually downgrade my OS. As a result, the app loader won't function.
Yay... now i get to figure this all out. :P
