Not sure if this is in the right section, but anyway. i was surprised to find a white and red Torch earlier today. Did this really come out? The store owner said it was an original BB... what are your thoughts on this. I'm planning to get a white one for my wifey.

Yes its the real thing! I like the the looks of the white 9800.....although not sure how it will like me!

I just saw a commercial for the Torch in Red, White and Black. I'd confirm that they do exist.

RIM has pictures of the white one on their site but they do not list white or red as an available colour yet.

Actually if you look at AT&T's site - you will see them all listed. You have to select the color you want to see (on the right hand side) - but all three colors are listed (Sunset Red, Pure White and Charcoal).

Likewise all three are listed on the BlackBerry site - you have to scroll to the right to see all three colors.

Although it may be a bad idea - I think one in all chrome would be cool. Anyone remember the Nokia 8800 from way back when?

I can confirm that Rogers already has the white Torch, looks sharp if you ask me!

Both my daughter and I picked up red 9800's last week at an AT&T Store. We upgraded for $99 each.

Yes they are real BB colors, as others have said.

I got my wife a white one two weeks ago and she loves it. It's a sharp looking phone, although when I was talking with my buddy at the store he told me that they had only gotten 3 in so far, my wife's being the third, and they were all sold to women. They also had 6 people on the waiting list wanting to be notified when they got them in stock. They were all women as well.

Doesn't seem to be something many men will actually purchase, but it is sharp nonetheless.
