Note: Backup your contact list to your Media Card.

You need to swap the BBM 5.0 files out for the 4.6 files that come with the .297 build, then run the installer as usual.

-Or- Upgrade as usual, then find a BBM 5.0 OTA link.

Questions:

If you're not worried about BBM 5.0, and if you can use Crackmem to get rid of extra themes, etc., what are the advantages, if any of using an OTA update? Will it preserve all the settings of the 3rd party apps?

I realize you have to re-update Docs to Go Premium with an OTA update. Even with a manual update you have to first delete the DTG alx file. But if you first do an app save via an aborted switch-Blackberry update, and have an alx file and the java cods for DTG, would that get the Premium DTG back again?

IOW, is it really more efficient to do an OTA update if you prepare first and use Crackmem later?

When updating an OS via OTA does it restore all of your settings and messages automatically?

what is BBM 5.0? BB Manager or BB messenger?

Also, what all this mean about avoiding DTG Premium from installing? I want standard DTG as I have now. Please explain.

thanks

Hello,
For the Blackberry users in Germany, I think the link will be Active at the start of business west coast time. That means for us, wait till tonight (we are at least six hours ahead).

I wish T-mobile would do some cool releases.
The actuall T-Mobile software always comes way later....

I gonna Update with the Att Version over the Destktop Manager. the OTA Update ist still to tricky for me...

I can't live without my Bold!
