I've got an Storm 2 from Verizon and using it in Mexico with Telcel. I was told that the difference between edge and EDGE is that uppercased means data connection. In my BB I see edge only. I tried a procedure in which the last part was to register in the host routing table section but it didn't work, it says registration message sent but nothing happened.

Can any one help me to get edge uppercased? Thanks.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan to get EDGE.
If I remember correctly from your previous posts... you don't have the BlackBerry Data Plan.

I'm confused because even though I do not have BB data plan and I have edge, the mail sync with AstraSync works and also Opera mini. So if it is supposed thta only with EDGE you have data transfer, why does it work in edge? It seems I was missing some TCP/IP settings...

You don't have a BLACKBERRY Data Plan... but you do have a data plan of some sort.
Your wireless carrier provides sufficient data access (on edge or gprs) for you to utilize the software you mentioned. However, without a BLACKBERRY Data Plan, you will never be able to authenticate to RIM's BlackBerry infrastructure and use the native RIM apps on your device. You'll not see GPRS or EDGE with your current setup.
