Question Get 8310 now or wait for 9xxx model?

Please Login to Remove!

Not sure if this can be posted in General forum, or elsewhere, but....

wondering if I should upgrade my 8700c to an 8310 now (just came out of contract with ATT) OR wait till 9xxx model comes out.

Decisions, decisions

Depends on if you want a sure thing (8310) or a rumor (9xxx).

Go for 8310 who knows when the 9xxx will arrive

I only upgraded, due to losing my last phone. I would wait lol. That stuff always has a way of biting you in the @SS. Knowing me, now that I'm back in a contract (was out of contract for 2yrs), the next best phone will be released in January.

But, like the first guy said...

Let's think this one through... there will always be rumors of the next phone, and how wonderful it will be. My advice, take the best phone you can get, at the time you can get it. If you can upgrade and there is a release date for the next great BB model, then I would say wait to get it. Right now, I would take the 8310.

Yeah, but when you shell out 300 bucks for something and then the next thing comes out...there is no worse feeling (other than your wife telling you that the pizza boy is now replacing you)...

True, but you will never be able to catch up the mobile phone technology. When the "next thing" comes out, there is always a new "next thing" in the pipe line.

So, how long can you wait?

Definitely go for the 8310. Rumor has it the 9000 series is suppose to have touchscreen. I'm not looking forward to that. Who wants to wipe their phone off all day long. Not me.

thanks again for your advice. I went into an ATT corporate store today, and brought home a shiny red 8310! no need to wrap this present Santa!

Got it for just $99 without having to wait for a rebate....so how could I refuse?

now comes the task of downloading all the cool software I had on the 8700
