Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

The fact there's a screenshot leaves us with optimism. It was supposed to be out last November. Details to come.

I'm also looking forward to the LinkedIn app, which is also long-delayed. Apologies for the mini-hijack of the thread.

I'm currently using Uber, SS, and tweetgenius right now. Can't really decide which one to keep.

Social Scope any version is better. I found the other two, especially tweet genius to be battery killers

Ran into too many issues with SS on my 8330 so I've been running UT. I really wish RIM would relaease this soon

(along with the LinkedIn app)

I heard the rumored release date was sometime in Feb, next month.

Given the options for FaceBook RIM's is really the only option (Same will be try with LinkedIn)

As far as twitter, once I get the Tour2 I will probably go back to SocialScope but for now It's UT. And I will have to try RIM's Twitter App just try it.

Seesmic for Blackberry has some potential but still has a gap to fill with certain features.

I have used seesmic, and while it was a reliable twitter app, there is a bit more work to be done, so I do agree with you about Seesmic.

I was thinking, how are they going to tie the push concept here? As far as I know, when you are mentioned or you have a reply, it is not emailed to you, so the standard push redirect to an app (like FB) will not work.

On the other hand, if the app is pulling twitter for mentions every xx minutes, it would kill the battery.

Does anyone else have a clue how they plan to deliver "instant notification?

I'd think it would work like their email push, right? Some nice Twitter/RIM API when you mentioned it pushes it to you phone like emails. We Will see.. It is interesting to see RIM working with Twitter (a very unreliable service) but I suppose RIM is just going with the consumers this time right?

I just hope it isn't integrated with the messages too much and you have an option to turn it off, twitter is not something I need to distracted with while I am working.

If RIM is planning to keep their Twitter client at the same levels as their FB client, then they'd better not even try launching it!!!

Thank you. I could not agree more. My sense is that the 3rd party programmers are not losing much sleep as of yet
