I have a 9780 running 6.0.0.285. I use Google Maps a lot mainly because BB Maps doesn't work in my country.
The problem is that the last two versions of Maps 4.5.2 and 4.5.3 (released yesterday) have been a pain.
Before 4.5.2 I just clicked on the icon every time I needed directions, With 4.5.2 every time I tried to open it a message saying "unknown error. Please restart" appeared.
I kind of waited for the new version hoping the issue would be solved but exactly the same is happening.
Any ideas?

Not sure about this problem, but Google apps haven't been performing very well since OS6 upgrade. There are all sorts of bugs coming up. I just hope Google resolve these asap as they're quite popular. It has been quite some time since OS6 came out and still no resolution. And they had access to OS6 well before it was released to general public, so should have ironed these issues out well before.

I'm having the same problem with Google Maps 4.5.2 and 4.5.3, with BB 9650 and OS 5.0.0.1006. I think this is more of an app problem.
