Why do some apps get removed when you upgrade or add apps??

My tetris from Bradgoodman.com uninstalls when either I upgrade OS's or install an app.

All apps need to be (and stay) in the same folder.

However, I think that this issius has been resolved in OS4 and desktop 4.
